International Wayside Gold Mines Ltd. ("the Company") is a public company traded on the TSX Venture Exchange (WGM) and on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (IWUA). The Company is focused on the historic Cariboo Goldfields, terminus of the famous Cariboo Gold Rush, where the Company has acquired more than 65,000 ha of mineral tenure.
Past production is in excess of 3.8 million ounces of gold in the Cariboo Goldfields, including 2.64 million ounces of recorded placer gold and a total of 1.23 million ounces of gold from three former underground gold mines (the Cariboo Gold Quartz Mine, the Island Mountain Mine and the Mosquito Creek Mine, all on the Company's tenure). Placer and lode gold has been recovered from Snowshoe Group rocks within the Barkerville Terrane, which extend over more than 60 km in the western foothills of the Cariboo Mountains in East-Central British Columbia. There are over 200 Minfile occurrences in the area, including more than 80 past-producers. Three distinct styles of gold-bearing mineralization have been identified.
The Company is currently working to delineate multi-million ounce gold resources across the trend, further consolidate mineral tenure, and begin production at the proposed Bonanza Ledge open pit mine. To date, the Company has completed more than 50,000m of drilling and while the Company continues to augment and refine the geological model, large areas have never been explored.
